As much as I wanted to like this one, I just couldn't get fully into it. The characters were okay, and it was written well, but I just couldn't get over everything that Dane had done to Kennedy.

I mean, he did something pretty terrible things to her when they were growing up, especially when they were in high school. And not only did he never stop, he continues it during college. The whole having sex to make her jealous, or having a party just to annoy her? I mean come on and grow up already.

Ugh, but oh well. I liked the idea and the romance parts (when Dane decided to not be a dick) were pretty great and sweet, and the sex was hot. Very hot.

I liked the side characters so much, they were the only reasons I enjoyed the book. Kennedy's two roommates were great, always there to cheer her up and Dane's roommate made up for him being a dick. He actually cared about what Dane was doing to Kennedy and wasn't going to take Dane's side. Aha! Proof that not all men are terrible!

But other than that the plotline was somewhat weak, all the reasons that they each hated their parents were way too convenient, and I just couldn't understand Dane's reason for hating her so much when they were younger. Oh wait....It's because there wasn't one.

Not something that I would have paid for, nor would I highly recommend.

This book...I love it. I originally read the full series a while ago, but re-read them to prepare for this one. Now, I was not Kiera's biggest fan when it comes to how she acted and everything that went down between Kellan, Denny and her, but this book was the best one of the series.

I don't think I have ever happy danced so hard about a book before.

And now that I'm done, all I can say is that I hate Kiera that much more for everything she did.

I loved Kellan's perspective, he was so tormented by his past, his present, and what he would do in the future, and then Kiera came in and messed it all up! Half the time she acted like a raving bitch, and the other half like she didn't care at all about Kellan. I found it hard to read from Kellan's perspective because he loved her SO MUCH! 

My heart was continuously breaking for Kellan, I know he had his flaws, but he had so much more to overcome than Kiera did, and he was the one who I thought deserved someone much better than Kiera.

This story was messy in a good way. It wasn't perfect, and the author was honest when it came to Kellan, he had plenty of faults, he needed to be healed, he used girls just because he could. It was much easier to understand after reading that both of the main characters were a wreck and that is why they had such a hard time.

All of my favorite scenes from Thoughtless were in here, which totally won over my inner fangirl. I could go on and on and on about how much this book rocked, but I'll keep it short. READ THIS BOOK!

This author's writing has only excelled over the course of these books, and I can't wait for more!

Unconditional (Always #1): Cherie M Hudson

This book was like nothing that I have read before. Our lead female, Maci, has Parkinson's Disease. She has decided to start living her life and doing the things she wants. Which means studying abroad in Australia with a surprising amount of Chris Hemsworth look-alikes...? I loved that she was unafraid to deal with what she has, instead of not taking care of herself...although she does start to do that a bit during the book.

The first person narration was very personable and chatty, and took some getting used to. It started off a bit rough, but redeemed itself along the way. I wasn't impressed with the way Maci handled telling people about her PD, but was glad that someone (The Biceps) liked her enough to take care of her.

Raph was a bit of a douche. He took little care for Maci's feelings, but eventually realized what he needed to do, and manned up and did it. 

After those two got their shit sorted, the book could have done without all of the new drama that the author brings in. I felt as though I could have done without the Princess trying to butt into Raph and Maci's relationship. And really Maci, leaving the country for no reason without telling anyone you left or where you were going!?

GAH! Stop being so immature!

But hey, it works out.

To me, this story was heartbreaking, because everyone knows how the story will end. Including Maci. But it was realistic. I love Raph for saying he will stick around, but I want another book about them, further down the road.

The side characters in the book were pretty cool, I got a bit annoyed with Maci's girl friend after a while...but The Biceps never failed to cheer me up! Excited to read his story!

Incite: Erica Crouch

AZAEL!! How could you!? I thought it was bad in the first one, but the things he does, the things he thinks in this one were so much worse. I had a small shred of hope at the beginning of this book for him. But now....

After what he did I just want to scream at him. 

I LOVED the dual POV with Azael and Pen. It was fascinating getting into their minds to see how they saw different situations. What each of them was doing at the same point in time.

Michael played somewhat of a lesser role in this book. He was there, and helping Pen, but I saw this book as a growing exercise for both Pen and Az, the both of them learning how to stand on their own two feet, learning to live without each other.

This book hurt some of my feels. Az just spiraled further into madness, and Michael started to as well. Now that Michael remembers everything, he is depressed, and getting sick. I feel so bad for him. I love his character and I really hope nothing happens to him.

The introduction of the new characters was fabulous. I guess I never really thought that Michael and Pen would become such big faces in the angel/demon community. But it was interesting. Some of the side characters are ones that Pen and Michael know from before, and watching them interact was fun.

One of my favorite things about this book was the author's creativity. She has crafted a world that is bound to suck everyone in. She takes some of the biggest mythological people, people from history and people from fairytales, and makes them angels and demons, blending right in with everyone. The lyrical quality of the previous books are continued, and with such descriptiveness that it feels like I am there, that I can see it.

The ending of this book is killer, it will keep you wanting more...I already want the next one to be out!

Entice: Erica Crouch

A prequel about Eden! This one was almost as amazing as Ignite. 

I was curious about what happened after it was mentioned as the reason for being such low level demons.

The writing in this book was fabulous, it seemed so lyrical, which is what the author was trying to go for as there was a lot of poetry, but it wasn't overdone. It was simple and elegant, but still beautiful.

But I liked getting further into the mind of Pen and watching the interactions with Lucifer, and watching Azael spiral into madness and lose any and all empathy and love he once had in his heart even though Pen loves him enough to sacrifice everything she stands for!

But I'm over it...really.

This novella isn't necessary to continue the series, but it was helpful and I really just loved it. 

I was a great development for all of the characters, and I recommend it to everyone who likes this series, or other angel series.

Ignite: Erica Crouch

Wow, I'm not sure quite what I was expecting, but this wasn't it. This book far surpassed my expectations. I loved the plot and characters so much, I'm thrilled to read the next one.

I have such a hard time finding angel/demon stories that are actually worth reading. This one was pretty thorough, the author has crafted a world that is filled not only with demons that walk among us, but angels as well.

Pen was such a lovable character, she saw herself as evil because of the things that she has done. She and her brother, Azael, both fell from heaven, and now work for Lucifer. Enter an angel named Michael (oh yes, that Michael) and now we have a forbidden romance.

Michael is able to see past the evil that Pen thinks she is. He sees the good, and the capability for even more. Micheal was adorable, he was like a little lost puppy who was a bit too curious about everything. He didn't understand a lot about the way the world is now, and Pen tried to help him out, but I enjoyed the comedy bits.

It was interesting to see something new in an angel series. The author brings in the Lilim virus, which I thought was a neat twist. Not only to Pen and Michael have to stop the apocalypse, but also the Lilim virus, and fend off Heaven and Hell while doing it. 

Pen and Azael's relationship was interesting. I felt like I understood it, they looked out for each other with a sort of love, but apparently Azael didn't even love her at all. Ass. I liked the banter between them, but by the end of the book, I was frustrated and upset with that man. He meant so much to Pen, and he was nothing but an ass. I'm very curious to see what happens to him in the next book. I don't want him to be killed off, but I get the feeling that is going to happen. I loved the chapter from his perspective, and I hope we get some more of it. Especially now that he is no longer with Pen, and we don't know what his new mission is going to be.

The end of this book left quite a few questions unanswered, enough to get me to read the next one, but not so many that I felt like giving up.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes angel/demon series and is frustrated by the utter lack of decent ones around.
